11. Mount Fuji
Hardly 2 hrs. from Tokyo, Mount Fuji is Japan’s most identifiable landmark. This volcano is a very popular one with climbers. There is even a post office at the top from where you can send a letter to your loved ones back home. Those not able to trek the arduous path can enjoy some breathtaking views of the volcano from the Fuji viewing platform located in the Tenjo-Yama Park.
