1. Basilica di San Marco, Venice

The Patriarchal Cathedral Basilica of Saint Mark is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Venice in the northern Italy region. It is the most popular church all over Venice and serves as a perfect example of the Italo-Byzantine architecture. The exterior of the church is truly magnificent and if you get inside, you will find that the upper levels of the interiors are lavishly covered with bright mosaics that look really spectacular.
